Dear Rotary International,
My name is Craig Michael Crawford Sr. I have been a potential member of: OurHighDesert California Rotary chapter, for several weeks. I attended our meeting tonight at the Wine Seller in Apple Valley, CA, and I was appaled at the conduct of your members. Specifically the chapter president Daryl. I shake Daryls hand when I see him and treat him with the respect I thought he deserved. We have spoken several times at meetings in the past, and I always listened and engaged in conversation relevant to the mission statement of the Rotary. I have been disrespected by him individually, and by a group of individuals who claim to promote "community service"?Y? Prior to this I spoke/wrote/acted freely of my newfound passion through Rotary, and my respect of these individuals was vocalized to others.?Y?Because i do believe in the guiding priciple of "Service above Self".
i feel "you" need to remind these Local community Service leaders what "Service above Self" really means.....I passed out my 5 year business plan and my 6 month personal life plan(necessary to prepare me in all aspects of my life for future success in community service, local business, and leadership;all focused around the motto of the Rotary "Service Above Self".....I plan to restore the downtown Victorville, CA area. I have also spoken to other members in the previous mettings about this plan.
I have not recieved one!1! thoughtfull response or comment to this plan, in any of the following meetings. Daryl in particular treats me as an outsider,where he should be welcoming me in to "his"cause with support and respect. ?Wh?Y? would "your" president not be able to provide an answer, to a "local community service" issue? To a Veteran/father/resident/prior/future community leader or enthusiastic prospective Rotarian?Y?
I have my suspicions.....However i will, as always, let "WEthePEOPLE" decide , by thoughtfully examining the evidence, using facts and data and open honest input towards quantifying the reasons ?Y?Also, please submit your response to me in an open public format of your choosing......
